Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a computer?

No. The main investigation runs in your browser on a computer, a tablet or a smartphone. You do need a second smartphone as your companion device.

How many devices are required?

At least two physical devices: one main device and one companion smartphone. There is no single-device mode.

Can I play alone?

Yes. A solo investigator simply uses two devices, for example a laptop and a phone.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Each case lists how many investigators it supports. Friends join from their own smartphones and investigate the same case together.

Does everyone need to buy the investigation?

No. The plan is for a single purchase by the host to cover the whole group, within the case’s player limit. Purchases are not open yet.

How long does a case take?

Every case lists its estimated duration. Our first case, The Other Woman, takes about two to three hours.

Can we pause and continue later?

Yes, that is how investigations are being designed: progress is stored on our servers so a group can stop and resume. Gameplay is not released yet.

Is the companion app available yet?

Not yet. The iPhone and Android companion apps are in planning and have not been released. We will announce them here when they are ready.
